A Coca-Cola Energy Drink Is Coming
If you ever struggle with deciding between a crisp can of Coca-Cola or a boost of caffeine from an energy drink, you'll soon no longer have to. The soda company is introducing Cola-Cola Energy to the United States early next year.

There will be four varieties of the drink released: Coca-Cola Energy, Coca-Cola Energy Cherry and zero sugar versions of both. Coca-Cola Energy and the Zero Sugar version are already available internationally. A can of Coke Energy has 114mg of caffeine, which is almost four times as much as a normal can of Coke.
The company is introducing the drink in an effort to ensure that the Coca-Cola brand "remains fresh." Energy drink and energy shot sales reached about $13.5 billion in 2018, up 30% from 2013.
The energy drink will be available in the U.S. starting mid-January 2020. Will it be able to compete with the very saturated energy drink market?
