Photos That Make Us Question Everything We Assume Is True
We know that it's possible for our eyes to play tricks on us, but most of the time, this isn't something that we let interfere with our everyday lives. For the most part, we just go about our day, business as usual, trusting what our eyes tell us is true.
These photos might change all of that. Rap stars are grass, black holes are cats, and dogs aren't actually wearing goggles. We're not sure what to believe anymore.
This Isn't A Concert
This photo looks like it was taken at an Eminem concert or something. It looks like that audience is having a fantastic time. In reality, this is just a picture of grass at night.
A Brilliant Ad
Those little black "fleas" you see on the dog aren't fleas at all. This very large ad was placed on the floor of a mall. This is the view of it from the mall's second floor. All of those "fleas" are people.
Dad Is In The Picture
Even though it looks like the man in this photo is in the picture on the wall behind him, he is actually a real person. He's just wearing a striped shirt.
It's A Puddle
This parking garage doesn't have a huge scary drop or portal to the underworld built into it. There's just a puddle on the ground at the bottom of the ramp reflecting the ceiling.
Not A Very Deep Hole
At first glance, this looks like a photo of some very geometric bottomless pit. It's actually a photo of a pyramid in Egypt taken from directly above the point at the top.
Took Us A While
This picture is bending our minds. There is not actually a shorter guy in a yellow shirt facing backwards on this bike and doing a wheelie. That guy on the back is holding a mirror and they're in front of a bus.
A Very Strong Dog
This one took us a while, too. This isn't a dog who works out. This is a normal dog sitting in a car while a cat sits in the car window.
Hello There, Sir
It certainly looks like a cat with human hands is traveling via subway in this photo. It's actually just a cute cat chilling in the front of his owner's jacket.
A Confusing Garden
This garden is located in Paris and it's actually bigger than it looks. It's more of a long oval shape, but the angle at which this photo was taken makes it look like a small globe.
There's Only One Person In This Photo
At first glance, it looks like there's a person wearing a snorkel and a mask next to a smaller or further away diving person in this photo. That's actually a hand holding a sea urchin.
Swole Cat
This photo is really throwing us for a loop. It very much looks like this girl's arm is actually her cat's arm. Of course, that's not the case. This isn't a very large and strong cat.
Not A Hair
This photo kind of looks like an up-close shot of a single human hair. In reality, it's a photo of a space shuttle leaving the earth's atmosphere. It's kind of crazy how much it looks like a hair, though.
Not A Boat
This looks like a photo of a boat gliding through glistening water at sunrise. It's actually a photo of a car's broken antenna. We're not sure if that information makes the photo less magical or more magical.
A Black Hole
The thing that looks like a black hole at the foot of this bed is actually a black cat curled into an adorable little ball. He's much less scary than a black hole, but probably just as mysterious.
One Photo
It looks like this single image is three images placed side by side. In fact, it's just a building with some very straight edges. The vines on the brick are still green while the tree in the background has already turned yellow.
A Very Strange Arm
It looks like the man in this photo has a normal-sized biceps with a very small forearm and hand. Well, that tiny arm is actually his baby's arm. It's resting on his arm, which is resting on the chair.
Musical Skiers
The tracks these skiers are making in the snow look like a musical bar, and the shape they make from above looks a lot like musical notes. This picture is insane.
Not People In French Fry Costumes
At first glance, you might think this is a photo of two people walking down the street in human-sized french fry costumes. It's just some regular-sized corn dogs covered in french fries.
A Cat Head
This is not actually a random cat head sitting on the street without a body. This cat has a body. It's just behind a ledge which is pretty hard to see.
I Am A Rock, Not An Island
This looks like a photo of an island in the middle of a body of water. In reality, it's just a rock covered with moss in the middle of a puddle.
A Nice Shoulder Massage
It looks like the picture of the sun behind this man in uniform is giving out free shoulder massages. The patches on his shoulders look like sun hands. You know, if suns had hands.
Along For The Ride
After seeing the little dog in the woman's bag, it's a little easier to believe for a moment that her boyfriend might be carrying a small woman in his backpack.
Not A Bunch Of Pebbles
This looks like a photo of a punch of pebbles, but in reality, those aren't brightly colored pebbles at all. This is a photo of a crowd of people in Hong Kong. They're all holding umbrellas.
This Isn't A Ship
This looks like a photo of a boat sailing through a rather calm lake. In actuality, it's a photo of a small rip in a teal leather couch. It's blowing our minds.
There Are Five Hands In This Photo
It looks like this woman has her husband's hand on her shoulder while both his hands are clearly visible. In reality, that is simply a demon, reclaiming her soul as per their bargain at the crossroads so many years ago.
Or there might be someone crouching behind them to make a freaky picture. Who can say?
Steampunk Doggo
This isn't a photo of a dog who is really into steampunk, but rather a dog who got tired and decided to take a nap under a car with two exhaust pipes. Get it? Exhaust? Because he's exhausted?
A New Creature
How often do you get to see a ground hog or a longhorn this close up by themselves ever? Not very often. To see both of them together like this is borderline miraculous.
A Mind-Bending Passthrough
This photo is hurting our brains. The road is actually running under the water. The bridge contains water and is actually a bridge for boats. We need a minute with this one.

Whoever knitted this blanket did a really great job of making it look three dimensional. It looks like you could fall into those squares. It's kind of tripping us out.

This person claims that they're the ones who left the footprints in the sand and that the shadows are creating an illusion, but it looks to us like someone is trying to kick their way out from underneath.
He Should've Been In Charge Of Taking The Photo
With arms that long you don't even need someone else to take the photo. You can easily have all your friends in the picture and use him on the end to take a selfie.
