I never understood why my teachers in elementary school kept telling the time in military hours. Honestly, as a seven-year-old, it can get confusing real quick.

What, we’re supposed to know what “Be back from recess by 1300 hours” means in the second grade? I assumed the teacher was old, crazy, and somewhat paranoid about the future.
