When you move into a new place, you think about what your non-negotiables are. Does this place have air conditioning? Are there good schools in the neighborhood? When was the roof replaced?
But rarely do we think to ask around about what our neighbors might be like. At the time, it seems something so small, but it could become a big, big problem. Or they could end up being the greatest neighbors ever and you really hit the jackpot.
Guess We Know Where The Property Line Is
I'm not saying that you have to clean up all your neighbor's messes, but if you've got a power washer and they don't, then it might be nice to blast their wall clean. Who wouldn't want to use a power washer for longer, anyway?
"Can You Cook It Too?"
This is one of the worst kinds of neighbors, the ones that think that you're also their personal grocery store. I mean, it takes two to tango, they could always say no.
Is That A Whale On The Lawn?
It's hard to imagine what the backstory might be for a blow-up whale too big to fit in the pool. Though, if you really think about it, it might be best not to know.
It's Time For A Walk
Listen, getting your pets out of the house to get some fresh air and exercise is excellent, but do your parrots really need to go out for a walk? Bird people really are so weird.
Someone Has A Problem
What kind of party or whatever did these people have going on that they needed this much Nutella? Yes, it's delicious, but there are some lingering questions here that need answering.

You know, we could all actually learn a thing or two from this person. You have to stick up for yourself and not take crap from anyone. Do you think you'd get an answer if you knocked on the door to ask who they're hiding from?

It's hard not to be jealous when your neighbor gets nice things, but it shouldn't be a competition. One person's Jacuzzi is another person's bathtub in the yard with a stack of beer cases next to it.
Let's Hope They Find Them
An aggressive goldfish? I'm sure almost everyone is going to be out there looking for it because that's basically an oxymoron. Let's just all hope that Larry gets home safe, soon.
He Looks Really Upset
This person had their groceries delivered and noticed that some of them were missing. Then, they happened to peek through the bushes into the yard and there were their paper towels.
A Heart Attack Waiting To Happen
Nothing says "you're a great neighbor" like pulling pranks on one another until one of you eventually dies of a heart attack. The first one to put the other one in the hospital wins!
We Have Questions
This person left their sprinkler on overnight and literally froze everything in their yard and most of the yard next to them. But the question has to be asked: why was it even on in the first place if it was freezing cold?

The people living in this house became very aware that their neighbors have weapons that they don't really know how to use. That's almost worse than neighbors who do know how to use them.

People are walking in front of your house? That's crazy! It's almost like other people live in your neighborhood and like to go for walks. How dare they try and get some exercise.

If someone left a bunch of bird food on my lawn and it became overrun with ducks, I'm not sure that I would be too mad because they're so cute, but that's just me.

This person somehow burnt their entire lawn to a crisp. Did he do it with chemicals? A stray match or cigarette? It's impossible to say, but we are both horrified and impressed.

Like this woman, who heard through the grapevine that someone in their building had lost their job and decided to gather some groceries for them. It will help more than they know.

Like this cute little guy who knocked on the door of this person's home and asked if he could have a banana. Luckily, they had one handy to give to him.

This person was just walking their dog when the neighbor called after them telling them that they made something for them. Who doesn't like a delicious homemade breakfast from their neighbor?
He Followed The Rules
These people put out a sign that said when you walk by their house, you have to walk in a silly way, which is kind of fun. It was more fun when people in the neighborhood started doing it.
We All Need A Bit Of Company Sometimes
The lockdown is getting to all of us, but this guy was feeling especially lonely since he lived all on his own. His neighbors took the fence down so they could visit with him.
Nice To Know They're Looking Out
This might be a good text to hold onto in case that husband ever goes missing. Otherwise, it will always be a funny joke about that one time her friend's husband was renovating next door.
We All Love Dogs
We can totally get behind anyone in a neighborhood who is down to support the dogs in the area. Someone who loves dogs can't be a bad person, can they?
What A Sweet Surprise
This guy no longer had kids that were young enough to go trick-or-treating and therefore no more candy to steal. So the kids next door took pity on him and made a cute little goodie bag.

As a whole, most of us try and ignore our neighbors and what they choose to do in their spare time. But when they're sitting alone talking to watermelons at 3 am, you take note.
