You Won’t Believe How Much These Grandchildren Look Like Their Celebrity Grandparents
While families may not always pass down heirlooms or traditions, one thing that can't be helped being passed down is an intergenerational resemblance. For the most part, certain traits both tangible and intangible are often passed down to younger generations. When placed side by side, these traits become obvious and it's clear that two people are related. Sometimes, individuals pass on the traits that helped them achieve success to younger generations. Here's a list of grandchildren who look strikingly similar to their ancestors who were famous or important in their own right.
Arthur Donald: Grandson Of Paul McCartney
Another grandchild that looks like their grandfather Paul McCartney is Arthur Donald. If you didn't know that he was the grandson of the legendary musician, you still might find him looking oddly similar. When placed next to his grandfather, it's apparent who he takes after.
Donald is the eldest grandchild of Paul McCartney through McCartney's daughter Mary. Considering that Arthur is currently an undergrad at Yale University, chances are that paying such a steep tuition won't be an issue being of McCartney's blood.
Bailey Willis: Granddaughter Of Paul McCartney
It's no secret that musician Paul McCartney rose to fame while playing with the Beatles back in the 1960s. Although McCartney is far from out of the public spotlight, the public has now begun to take an interest in his grandchildren, only after his own children.
His daughter, Stella McCartney is a famous fashion designer and her daughter, Baile Willis, may only be 11-years-old but appears to be taking after her grandfather. Baile shares her grandfather's iconic smile and apparently some of the same mannerisms. With any luck, she'll become a singer herself one day.
Apple Martin: Granddaughter Of Blythe Danner
It's clear from both Blythe Danner's children and grandchildren that she has very strong genes flowing through her. Not only does the former star of The Great Santini and Meet the Parents look exactly like her daughter Gwyneth Paltrow, but she also looks incredible similar to her granddaughter Apple Martin.
While Martin may look more like her mother than grandmother, the similarities are still astonishing. After turning 75 in 2018, she has shown no signs of slowing down, having appeared in four movies that same year and reviving her role as Will's mom in the reboot of Will and Grace.
Stella Banderas: Grandaughter Of Tippi Hedren
Stella Banderas is the daughter of major stars Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith. This also makes her the granddaughter of famous actress Tippi Hedren, known for acting in famous Alfred Hitchcock films such as The Birds and Marnie.
Although Stella has adopted many of the looks from her parents, it's undeniable that she also looks like her famous grandmother. She shares her iconic grandmother's eyes and nose. These happen to be few of Tippi Hedren's most distinguishable features, the ones that made her such a heartthrob during her career height in Hollywood.
Quinn Tivey: Grandson Of Elizabeth Taylor
Elizabeth Taylor was known as one of the world's biggest movie stars during the height of her career in the 20th century. She's known for her striking blue eyes along with the genetic mutation that gave her a double row of eyelashes.
She was married seven times and managed to pass on her good looks to her grandson Quinn Tivey. The two almost have the exact same smile. Tivey is the son of Taylor's daughter Liza Todd and serves as a trustee for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. In addition to Tivey, Taylor has nine other grandchildren!
Ethan Peck: Grandson Of Gregory Peck
Wow, Gregory Peck and his grandson Ethan Peck look almost identical. The only real difference between the two is that one picture is in black and white and the other is in color. Gregory Peck is best known for his role in classic films such as To Kill a Mockingbird and Roman Holiday.
He's also dedicated most of his life as a supporter of social issues and an advocate for various charities. On the other hand, Ethan Peck has starred in the television adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You and with the Olsen Twins in Passport to Paris.
Conor Kennedy: Grandson Of Robert F. Kennedy
Another Kennedy on the list is Conor Kennedy, who is the grandson of Robert F. Kennedy, and the similarities are striking. While Jackie Kennedy passed her good looks to her granddaughter Rose, it looks like the same happened for her brother-in-law and his grandson.
Born to Robert Jr., he made headlines when he dated Taylor Swift for a stint in 2012. His grandfather died in Los Angeles Good Samaritan Hospital after being shot just hours after clinching the 1968 California Democratic presidential primary.
Theodore Howard Gabel: Grandson Of Ron Howard
While some people may look like their predecessors upon reaching maturity, some people look like their past family members only when they're young. This is the case for Theodore Howard Gabel. Besides sharing Howard in their name, they also look very similar.
Although Howard grew up to become a famous director, he started his career as the character Opie on The Andy Griffith Show. This is the age when Theodore looks most like his grandfather. Theodore is the oldest child of Ron's daughter Bryce Dallas Howard, who unfortunately experienced severe post-partum depression after giving birth to Theodore.
Oliver Elfman: Grandson Of Peter Fonda
Jane Fonda's brother, Peter, was also a well-known actor. He also passed down to his grandson Oliver his eyes, freckles, and a very toothy smile. Oliver is the only child of Peter's daughter Bridget Fonda who was the star of the Single White Female.
Oliver's father is also well-known in the film industry and is Danny Elfman. Over the years, Elfman has worked with Tim Burton on the scores for The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Edward Scissorhands, among various other films.
Dree Hemingway: Great-Granddaughter Of Ernest Hemmingway
Even though these two family members are of the opposite sex, it's clear that the two are related. Ernest Hemingway had incredible achievements such as winning a Nobel Prize and transforming the world of literature.
He also wrote some of the most notable books in literature such as The Old Man and the Sea and For Whom the Bell Tolls. While his great-granddaughter didn't inherit her ancestor's writing talent, she has gone on to have a notable acting career, as well as a successful modeling career.
Cameron Douglas: Grandson Of Kirk Douglas
There's no denying that Kirk Douglas had an extremely unique face, something that his grandson Kirk clearly shares with him. We're sure that Cameron has been told he looks like Kirk even if people were unaware that they are related.
Kirk Douglas is over 100 years old, making him one of the oldest actors in the world and one of the last surviving actors of the Hollywood Golden Age. While Kirk has so many acting credits it almost seems impossible, it appears that Cameron has followed in his footsteps acting in a number of films as well.
Aiden and Jacob: Grandsons Of Dave Bautista
Dave Bautista is best known as a professional WWE wrestler who also became a grandfather even before he turned 40 years old. Dave Bautista, who also tried his hand at acting in the 2014, film Guardians of the Galaxy has two grandsons through his daughter Keilani.
While both boys clearly look like their grandfather, the eldest looks like him the most. We'll just have to wait and see if either of the boys will grow up to become wrestlers and actors like their grandfather.
Rose Kennedy Schlossberg: Granddaughter Of Jacqueline Kennedy
Born in 1929, Jacqueline Bouvier grew up to marry Congressman John F. Kennedy, eventually becoming the First Lady of the United States. She has been described as one of the most iconic first ladies to ever step foot in the White House with her charisma and style, setting the bar for future First ladies.
Her granddaughter, Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, went on to inherit the coveted Kennedy name, wealth. and one of Jackie Kennedy's most prized possessions, her undeniable good looks, and charm.
Naomi deLuce Wilding: Granddaughter Of Elizabeth Taylor
Unlike her older sister Laela Wilding, who got to spend a lot of time with grandmother Elizabeth Taylor, Naomi deLuce Wilding did not. She grew up in the U.K. and only got to see Taylor over the holidays. That changed when Naomi moved to Manhattan, New York in the 90s to pursue fashion. Her famous granny helped her get a green card.
As Naomi recalls, "She said, 'I'll get you a lawyer, we'll get you a green card, and everything will be okay.' I came to stay with her and I never left [California]." Today, Naomi does extensive work with the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. She also runs a contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles.
Drew Barrymore: Granddaughter Of John Barrymore
Drew Barrymore has been in the public eye since an incredibly young age and is a renown actress today. However, she is the last surviving member of a long line of Barrymore actors. Although different genders, John and Drew Barrymore's looks are strikingly similar, even though John was a famous actor during the 1920s and 30s.
While sharing the Barrymore look, Drew, unfortunately, inherited the family's tendency for substance abuse. Both John and her father, John Jr., died of complications with alcoholism while Drew completed alcohol and drug rehab at the age of 14.
Anjelica Huston: Granddaughter Of Walter Huston
Anjelica Huston is best known for a few of her films such as The Grifters and The Addams Family. Yet, Anjelica comes from Hollywood royalty, as her father John Huston was a Hollywood director and her grandfather, Walter Huston, was a famous Canadian actor during the 30s and 40s.
One thing that is noticeable about the two is that it appears that Walter passed down his distinctive high cheekbones down to his granddaughter Angelica. We wonder if he could be equally as cold-hearted in character like Anjelica can at times.
Brendan Wayne: Grandson Of John Wayne
If Brendan Wayne looks familiar, it's because he is the grandson of Hollywood legend John Wayne. Brendan is known for his roles in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Sons of Anarchy, and other television shows. He was also in Cowboys & Aliens, the inspiration for which he probably got from his grandfather.
John Wayne was best known for acting in Western films, most notably True Grit, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and Rio Bravo. Brendan was only a boy when his grandfather passed away, but it's safe to say that he is working to carry the torch.
Chris Pine: Grandson Of Anne Gwynne
Unsurprisingly, Star Trek star and Hollywood heartthrob Chris Pine is a third-generation Hollywood actor. Although both of his parents were actors, his maternal grandmother, Anne Gwynne, was a popular pin-up girl during World War II, as well as a popular horror movie actress in the 1940s.
Although she died of a stroke in 2003 at the age of 84, it's clear that her legacy can be seen in Chris Pine's full lips and hooded eyes. They're also both great at staring off into the distance while deep in thought.
Steve R. McQueen: Grandson Of Steve McQueen
Grandson of Steve McQueen, Steven R. McQueen has some large shoes to fill if he ever wants to compete for the title of the "King of Cool" with his grandfather. Steve McQueen was best known as an action star with a rugged look and anti-hero personality, acting in iconic films such as The Great Escape and The Magnificent Seven.
Unfortunately, he passed away from mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos on various movie sets. Luckily, he had two children, with his grandson Steven being named in his honor and inheriting his good looks.
Benjamin Keough: Grandson Of Elvis Presley
Without knowing that they were related, it wouldn't be hard to guess that Benjamin Keough was a relative to The King himself. Benjamin was the son of Presley's only child, Lisa Marie Presley, and became a musician himself.
It's probably safe to assume that he may have inherited some of Presley's talent along with his looks. Apparently, Keough's mother was taken aback when she looks at her son because of how much he looks like her father. Tragically, the young man took his own life in July of 2020.
Viva Vadim: Grandaughter Of Jane Fonda
Thanks to the help of some plastic surgery, actress Jane Fonda looks nowhere near her age of 80 years old. This also helps her look even more similar to her granddaughter Viva Vadim, who inherited her grandmother's good looks.
Viva was born in 2002 to Jane's daughter Vanessa Vadim and her husband, Paul Waggoner. Although Jane set the bar high for her granddaughter, it's possible that Viva may follow in her footsteps and become an actress of a similar caliber.
Jason Ritter: Grandson Of Tex Ritter
Jason Ritter became a breakout star after his role in the films Joan of Arcadia and Parenthood. Although he definitely has the likes of his father, John Ritter, the same goes for his country musician grandfather Tex Ritter. Although Tex started out in the music industry, he eventually found himself acting as a character actor in Western films during the 1930s.
On top of that, Tex is credited with helping start the nonprofit United Cerebral Palsy. Among their many similar features, the ones that stand out the most is their bright smile and distinctive nose.
Billie Lourd: Grandaughter Of Debbie Reynolds
Billie Lourd is the daughter of Carrie Fisher, which also makes her Debbie Reynolds's grandaughter. Clearly, Reynolds has forged a career path for the women in her family, since Fisher and Lourd have both become actresses.
For her part, Lourd isn't as huge of a star (yet) as her grandma and mom, but she still has an impressive filmography to date. She is best known for her performances on Scream Queens and American Horror Story. She even entered her mother's world as Lieutenant Connix in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
Charlotte Casiraghi: Granddaughter Of Grace Kelly
Not many Americans have heard of Charlotte Casiraghi, but she might look vaguely familiar. That's because she is the granddaughter of former actress Grace Kelly, who left the life of Hollywood behind to marry Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956.
Casiraghi has many similar facial structures as her grandmother, but her successful journalism career is all her own. She may be primarily French, but she does have Italian roots from her father, as well as good 'ol American roots from her grandmother.
Alia Shawkat: Granddaughter Of Paul Burke
With an unrecognizable name, you would think that Alia Shawkat has entered the acting world of her own volition. But actually, Shawkat's tendency towards the camera is in her blood. Shawkat's grandfather is actor Paul Burke, who was known in the '60s for shows like Naked City and Twelve O'Clock High.
Regardless, Shawkat seems to have carved out a name for herself in Hollywood. She is best known for her role as Maeby Fünke on the hit show Arrested Development. Though it is her most prominent acting credit, she's been all over film and television.
Bridget Fonda: Granddaughter Of Henry Fonda
Military and Hollywood veteran Henry Fonda certainly left a bit of star quality for his progeny to inherit. We've already mentioned his daughter Jane and his great-granddaughter Viva, but there's more actors in the Fonda family.
Bridget Fonda is the daughter of Peter Fonda, Henry's second son. Bridget has become successful in her own right and is known for her roles in Single White Female, Point of No Return, Jackie Brown, and The Godfather Part III. She hasn't acted much since the early 2000's and in 2003 survived a serious car crash.
Zoe Kazan: Granddaughter Of Elia Kazan
Zoe Kazan was born into a Hollywood family. Her grandfather is classic Hollywood director Elia Kazan, whose films A Streetcar Named Desire and East of Eden have been time-honored film classics.
Zoe seems to prefer the front of the camera. She has acted on film and on Broadway. She is best known for her roles in Ruby Sparks, Revolutionary Road, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. Zoe's most prominent film role to date, however, might be in 2017's The Big Sick. In addition to acting, Zoe also dabbles in screenwriting.
Sean Flynn: Great-Grandson Of Errol Flynn
Sean Flynn was born with acting in his bones. His great-grandfather is none other than legendary swashbuckling actor, Errol Flynn. Back in the day. Errol Flynn was known for his role as Robin Hood.
Sean Flynn is best known for his role as Chase Matthews on Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 back in the early 2000's. He hasn't had many acting credits since then, which suggests that he has since been living a low-key life. Sean Flynn is named after one of Errol's sons, who stopped acting to become a photojournalist. He disappeared while covering the Vietnam War.
Emma Ferrer: Granddaughter Of Audrey Hepburn
Emma Ferrer is a British-Swiss model whose features look very similar to her grandmother, Audrey Hepburn. Of course, Audrey Hepburn has a classic beauty that many women have tried to emulate. Lucky for Emma, she inherited it.
Emma is the daughter of Hepburn's son Sean Ferrer. While Emma makes a living as a model, she has dabbled in acting. Her first film role was in the arthouse film, THE MAN IN THE ATTIC. Clearly her forte is modeling, since she even received an award from InTouch magazine for it!
Katie Cassidy: Granddaughter Of Jack Cassidy
Katie Cassidy is the granddaughter of Tony Award-winning actor Jack Cassidy. Back in the day, Cassidy gained fame on Broadway but he became a frequent guest star on television. He appeared on shows such as Bewitched, Get Smart, and Gunsmoke.
Katie seems to have followed in her grandfather's show-business footsteps as well, except she's had more experience with television and film. She hit her big break when she was cast as Black Canary on Arrow. She clearly inherited her grandpa's bright-eyed smile.
Sarah Sutherland: Granddaughter Of Donald Sutherland
Sarah Sutherland is the daughter of Keifer Sutherland, which also means her grandfather is veteran actor Donald Sutherland. Sarah certainly followed suit with her career of choice. She's best known for her role as Catherine Meyer in Veep.
Though she certainly doesn't have as many acting credits as her grandfather, she's well on her way to getting there. In addition to the acting bone, Sarah inherited her grandfather's eye and facial structure. If she looks like a star, there's no question that she is meant to be one herself.
Tuki Brando: Grandson Of Marlon Brando
Tuki Brando is one of the top male models of this generation and he probably didn't need the fact that his grandfather is Marlon Brando to get him there. Tuki is the son of Cheyenne Brando, Marlon's daughter with French actress Tarita Terriipaia. Cheyenne took her life in 1995, leaving Tuki to be raised by his grandmother in Tahiti.
Tuki was only 13 when Marlon Brando passed away and probably as a result of being raised away from the rest of the Brando's, he was left out of the actor's will. But Tuki inherited his grandfather's smoldering good looks and can make success on his own.
Dashiell Connery: Grandson Of Sean Connery
Dashiell Quinn Connery is the grandson of Sean Connery. In his early 20's, the young actor is still just getting started. He has been in Pandemic and Tommy's Honour, but we're sure that there's still plenty to come from this young Connery.
In addition to acting (and probably a huge inheritance), Dashiell has also inherited his grandfather's dashing good looks! Many will agree that Sean Connery has certainly aged well, so it wouldn't be too far off to assume that Dashiell will only continue to grow into his handsomeness.
Tayla Lynn: Granddaughter Of Loretta Lynn
Tayla Lynn is the granddaughter of country music singer-songwriter Loretta Lynn. Tayla grew up watching her grandmother sing and even went on tour with her. Tayla has been exposed to music since an early age, so it's no surprise that she also entered the music business.
Tayla also is associated with the grandchildren and children of other country legends. She has been working on a solo album that was produced by John Carter Cash. She's also gone on tour with Tre Twitty, the grandson of Conway Twitty.
Princess Charlotte Of Cambridge: Granddaughter Of Princess Diana
While many people like to compare Princess Charlotte's resemblance to Queen Elizabeth II when she was child, many people believe that her resemblance to someone closer is often overlooked. Young Charlotte looks like her late grandmother Princess Diana when she was a child too!
Princess Charlotte is the daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and is currently fourth in line to ascend the British throne. Her grandmother Princess Diana saddened the world when she was killed in a car crash back in the early '90s. At the very least, Diana's grace and charm may live on in Charlotte.
Riley Keough: Granddaughter Of Priscilla Presley
Here's another Presley descendant for you! Riley Keough is the eldest grandchild of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley and people can't help but notice how much Riley, whose full name is Danielle Riley Keough, is starting to look like her grandma.
Keough is currently an actress, model, and producer. She is primarily known for working with Steven Soderbergh, having acted in Magic Mike and The Girlfriend Experience. Keough also appeared in Mad Max: Fury Road, as well as American Honey, for which she won a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award.
Pablo Dylan: Grandson Of Bob Dylan
Pablo Dylan is the grandson of folk legend Bob Dylan. As you can see, Pablo obviously inherited his grandfather's charming, scruffy hair, but he also inherited his grandfather's affinity for music.
Pablo started his career as "Bob Dylan's rapping grandson" and did pretty well, earning nods some from of today's hottest rappers. After a successful mixtape, Pablo grew disillusioned with the capitalistic tendencies of record companies and quit. After some heavy reevaluation, he returned to the music scene, except with material that is closer to his grandfather's folk roots.
Edgar Cooper Endicott: Grandson Of Joan Rivers
The name Edgar Cooper Endicott may not ring any bells, but he is actually the grandson of Joan Rivers. Now in his late teens, Endicott presumably has been living the life of a regular kid, but he has made appearances as himself on his grandmother's show.
His mother is Melissa Rivers, who married his father, John Endicott, in a $3 million wedding. Unfortunately, that marriage ended in divorce, but the younger Endicott was ostensibly loved all the same. One can only imagine that he has inherited his grandmother's penchant for comedy!
Princes William & Harry: Grandsons Of Queen Elizabeth II
It may not seem like it these days, but Prince William and Prince Harry really take after their grandmother, the Queen. In her younger days, Queen Elizabeth was youthful and charming, before taking on the serious duty of ascending the throne.
Now, Queen Elizabeth is the longest reigning monarch and the princes are still quite a ways away from ascending the throne. Next in line would be their father, Prince Charles. After him, Prince William would be next. Prince Harry pretty much doesn't stand a chance, since all of William's kids are ahead of him in the line of succession.
Sophie Dahl: Granddaughter Of Roald Dahl
Sophie Dahl is the granddaughter of author Roald Dahl. If you recall, Roald Dahl has blessed the world with classics such as James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The BFG. The main character in The BFG is named Sophie, and Sophie herself was the inspiration for her grandfather's character.
These days, Sophie Dahl is a model. She was discovered at age 18 and was featured in advertisements for major fashion houses such as Versace, Alexander McQueen, and more. Sophie is also an author like her grandpa.
Jenna Bush Hager: Granddaughter Of George H. W. Bush
Jenna Bush-Hager is the granddaughter of George H. W. Bush, who was the 41st president of the United States. Bush-Hager is the younger out of her and her twin sister, Barbara Pierce Bush, and together with their parents, they were the former first family of the United States, when their dad, George W. Bush, became the 43rd president.
Today, Jenna Bush-Hager is carving out a name for herself in the world of politics as a prominent political commentator and journalist. She is often featured on The Today Show as a contributor and correspondent.
