Okay, first of all, don’t leave your rice maker open if you don’t want your cat to do their business in it. But if you do leave it open, can you blame them? It’s warm, moist, and probably smells better than their box full of Arm & Hammer litter.

I want to think this cat was trying to help, but cats are evil, so I don’t doubt that this cat did it out of spite.
