Stars Who Went As Other Celebs For Halloween
They say that imitation is the best form of flattery, so celebrities must be flattered all the time when regular, non-famous people choose to dress like them for Halloween. But what about when celebrities dress up as each other? We love seeing this because it only proves that deep down, celebrities are just like us. Of course, they have the resources to pull off these looks way better than a "regular" person can and the results are pretty epic.
That Time Lautner Channeled Lochte
Taylor Lautner dressed up as Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte for Matthew Morrison's 7th Annual Halloween and Birthday party in 2016. Lautner's look was complete with fake gold medals, goggles, and blue-ish hair. Coincidentally, he ran into fellow actress Nina Dobrev, who also dressed as Lochte that year.
Everyone remembers the big events of the Olympic Games at Rio de Janeiro that summer. Lochte had falsely claimed that he and his friends were held at gunpoint. The lie led to a 10-month suspension from swimming.
Meredith Viera Went Full Gaga For The Today Show
Meredith Viera dressed up as Lady Gaga for Halloween of 2010 during an episode of The Today Show. Viera looked almost unrecognizable as she put on a blonde and yellow wig and had her makeup done to look just like Gaga's. The TV host imitated Gaga's galactic look from the 2010 Grammy Awards.
The dress was originally designed by Armani Privé and came complete with a star ornament that Gaga had to hold. We'd sayToday's wardrobe department did an excellent job at replicating it!
Zendaya Payed Homage To Her Idol
In 2013, Zendaya attended a Halloween charity event dressed as Aaliyah. The late R&B princess became a model for Tommy Hilfiger in 1996 – the same year Zendaya was born.
The following year, Zendaya was slated to star in a Lifetime network biopic about Aaliyah but she ultimately pulled out of the project, citing lack of production value as the reason. Zendaya's casting was controversial enough, but she didn't feel right especially since the network never reached out to Aaliyah's family.
Cindy Crawford Might Be A Big Fan Of Slash
Supermodel CIndy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber dressed up as Slash and Axl Rose, respectively, in 2013. The edgy couple channeled Guns N Roses for their look to attend a Halloween bash at the home of actor Mike Meldman.
Crawford "Slash"-ed herself up by putting on a big, curly wig and a black top hat. She even went so far as to don some artificial tattoo sleeves. Of course, you can't be a rockstar if you don't wear your shades at night.
Rita Ora Performed Dressed Like Post Malone
Artist Rita Ora was nearly unrecognizable during Halloween 2018 when she dressed up as Post Malone for the KISS Haunted House Party in London. While other female celebs went for the cute or sexy looks, Ora was satisfied during the drag king thing and showing her creativity.
She absolutely killed it with her costume and people couldn't get enough! She even performed her single "Let You Love Me" while in full Post Malone get-up.
Harry Styles As Elton John
Former One Direction band mate turned solo artist Harry Style has plenty of personality to go around. Styles was spotted in Los Angeles during Halloween 2018 dressed up as Elton John.
He didn't hold back with this outfit, basically covered head to toe in glitter and sparkles. His costume was identical to John's outfit during his performance at Dodger Stadium in 1975. The sequinned baseball outfit is back and better than ever!
Kaia Gerber as Joan Jett
Kaia Gerber's dad, Rande Gerber, is a partial owner of Casamigos Tequila, so when they threw a huge Halloween party in Beverly Hills in 2018, you know the model-actress had to be there. Gerber chose to dress up as iconic rocker Joan Jett of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and the Runaways and boy does she look the part!
Gerber is fully channeling Jett as she strikes a pose for the camera. Her usual bubbly persona was left at home for the night while her inner Joan Jett came out to play.
DJ Cassidy as Pee-Wee Herman, Nas as Michael Jackson
You can't DJ and host a Halloween party without being in full costume. DJ Cassidy showed up to the Casamigos Halloween looking very much like Pee-wee Herman. Nas, pictured alongside him, is dressed as Michael Jackson.
Both celebs had a hilarious night playing their roles, especially DJ Cassidy, who didn't seem to break character throughout the night, judging by the hilarious photos he no doubt looked back on the next morning.
Harry Hamlin as Andy Warhol
Harry Hamlin is a talented actor best known for his roles in Clash of the Titans, L.A. Law, and Mad Men. He's using his acting chops to channel the late and great Andy Warhol. His costume is pretty simple, it's really all about the attitude for this one.
He showed up to the party with Lisa Rinna, who was dressed as Edie Sedgwick, a fashion model and one of Warhol's superstars.
Cindy Crawford as Blondie
While her daughter Kaia dressed as Joan Jett, iconic supermodel Cindy Crawford opted to dress up as another '80s rocker, Blondie (Debbie Harry). Although it's a bit surprising to see Crawford in rock n roll get-up, she pulls it off well!
She opted for a bright yellow top, a color Blondie likes to rock, and a blonde wig with plenty of volume! It looks like Crawford brought the attitude to match.
Brian Grazer as Run-DMC
TV producer Brian Grazer showed up to Casamigos' Halloween party dressed as Run-DMC. It's a simple and comfortable costume, but he didn't miss a beat. Grazer brought a gold inflatable stereo with him to complete the look.
It must have been a bit awkward, however, when he ran into Russell Simmons, who was also dressed like Run-DMC. Simmons' brother Joseph Simmons was in the group so it's a pretty funny choice for everyone.
Mike Meldman as Rickie Fowler, Fowler as a Caddie
This identity swap is clever and hilarious. Pictured here is Mike Meldman, real estate tycoon and partial owner of Casamigos Tequila, dressed as professional golf player Rickie Fowler. Fowler, standing right next to him, is dressed as his golf caddie, wearing a Casamigos bib.
Now that someone else is donning his Puma outfit, maybe Fowler will take notice of just how bright his outfits are! Obviously they were in cahoots with this one.
