People Who Have Clearly Never Heard The Phrase “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers”
Sometimes people find themselves in sticky situations. They lose a job, or they had a rough start, or they just need a helping hand. Asking for help can be a tough thing to do. Not for these people, though. These people have no problem asking for help, and then asking for more help, and then offering nothing in return.
The Princess And The Memory Foam
This is somehow both infuriating and so entertaining. Why do people think they're entitled to free stuff? Everything costs money— whether you get it from the store or from a person on Facebook.
Memory foam doesn't grow on trees, you know. It is extremely synthetic.
When Free Just Isn't Enough
Am I following this correctly? If somebody offers you a free piano, and you are interested in getting that piano, then they should have to pay to get that piano to you?
It would be cheaper to leave the thing on the side of the road.
X-Ray Collab, Like Comment Subscribe
Imagine if an x-ray tech's resume was enhanced by the clout of their patients. Like, if they just listed every person they x-rayed from most famous to least famous, and that's how they got a job?
A chest is a chest, dude. Nobody cares about this "huge opportunity."
What Would Jesus Do?
Isn't Jesus supposed to be a magical miracle worker? He wouldn't need a private jet. He'd just teleport places or turn water into a jet ski.
Nobody really needs a private jet, least of all a televangelist. Everyone can see him on TV — he doesn't have to fly anywhere to spread his message.
Not Even Close
It looks like the makeup artist had that picture ready. She must keep it in a special folder for moments exactly like this.
Fifteen dollars isn't even close to fifty dollars. I mean, I guess they sound similar. Basing your bargaining tactic on sound probably isn't the best move.
Every Graphic Designer Knows The Struggle
Why do people think that exposure is as good as money? Exposure does nothing if nobody is willing to pay for art. People who work in design provide a service, and they deserve to be paid for that service.
Lol "work"
There is so much respect for bass players in the initial post, and then it all went downhill. First no pay, and then the kicker, Lol "work."
Sorry bro, but making music is definitely work. Just because people aren't willing to pay you to do it, doesn't mean it's not a legitimate job for people with actual talent.
Come Clean Up My Garage For The Low Low Price Of $150
Nothing in that pile of trash is worth $150. Maybe if she wanted to pay me to pick up her garbage, I would accept $150 to transport it.
That pile looks like house vomit, and I absolutely do not want to clean it up. Not my problem, lady.
Some Pretty Specific Dietary Requirements
Do you think they're hungry because they can't afford food, or because they're vegan?
Honestly, most vegan food is pretty cheap, so this isn't that outrageous. It's just that the specialty vegan food marketing for rich people from California comes with a hefty price tag.
She Sounds Like A Great Catch
Anyone who is "bored," "bores easily," and "looking to be entertained" is probably a boring person.
The whole "a lot to handle" thing isn't a great sign either. Keep reading for a comic that perfectly illustrates how it feels to be a working artist.
Babysitter Wanted, Must Be In College
How delusional do you have to be to offer $75 per week for babysitting four kids 13 hours a day? Who in their right mind would take that offer?
Nobody you want around your kids would take that offer. If you don't want to shell out money for child care, maybe invest in some reliable birth control.
This One Is A Keeper
This one is checking every box. Horse girl: check. Divorced: check. Racist: check. Baggage: check, check, and check.
I blame the homeschooling. Nothing good can come of learning algebra in the isolation of your own home. That stuff drives people to call their pets "fur babies."
How It Feels To Be An Artist
Cyanide & Happiness back at it again with the relatable comics. I'm pretty sure this is what every artist would like to do to everyone who offers them "exposure" instead of actual money.
Artists don't want fame. They want to be able to pay their bills.
Needs A Miracle, But Not That One
Apparently, a spontaneous job offer is not a miracle. What does he think a miracle looks like?
Does he want the red sea to part to reveal a shining pile of money on the sea floor? Does he want Jesus to return holding a bag of cash labeled, "Tim from Michigan?"
Poor Selection At The Food Bank
That honestly sounds like a very good food haul. I would be more than happy to receive all of that stuff. And I'm sorry, but I do "get her wrong." She doesn't seem grateful at all.
Juice is not that healthy. Drink water. Save money at the dentist.
Nice Try, Ticket Lady
This girl has been desperately trying to sell her festival tickets for weeks. Problem is, the festival is nowhere near sold out.
That "Haha" is a nice touch. We'll see who's laughing when nobody buys her tickets and she's stuck paying for a festival she has no intention of attending.
I Want It That Way (Ain't Nothin But A Heartache)
She probably needs a couch with legs because she has bed bugs all over her home and she thinks if the couch doesn't touch the ground it won't get bed bugs on it.
Or maybe it's something less gross like she has a cat and doesn't want him to get squished under a lower couch? Let's hope it's the second option.
I'd Like To Have A Family BBQ— Would You Mind Supplying Everything?
Newsflash: nowhere in the name of this "Buy-Sell-Trade" Facebook group does it say "charity" or "give food away for free."
I don't understand how people think it's ok to ask for stuff like this. I guess it must have worked in the past— squeaky wheels and all that nonsense.
Is This Even Real?
Everything about this screams worst case scenario. I find it hard to believe that this is an actual Tinder post.
Who would advertise all of this awful information? And if it's just how you hold up your neck, maybe hold up your neck differently? Angles are everything.
This influencer who tried to "help" out
Whoever she is, she's winning the marketing game. There's no smarter play than pretending you're "helping" by receiving a service for free.
What a good Samaritan, we should all be like her.
Literally, Beggars Should Not Be Choosers
I wonder if this sign works for him? I think some people might be impressed by the audacity of it all and just hand him a twenty dollar bill. Not very many people would do that, but a few might.
This guy should be the poster child for the "beggars can't be choosers" movement.
Mechanics Are Skilled Tradespeople, Say It Louder
Why do so many people think that they deserve a discount on vehicle repairs?
Mechanics are not making much profit on basic maintenance jobs, yet people still have the audacity to ask why it costs so much and takes so long.
How Much Exposure Is Too Much Exposure?
Photographers are constantly dealing with people low-balling them on pricing or asking for free photoshoots.
This person tried to offer a photographer social media "exposure" in return for a photoshoot, but that didn't fly with the photographer who said they're already as exposed as it gets.
That's Not How Any Of This Works
For some reason, this discussion about buying a home is happening on Facebook.
The interested person who responded clearly does not understand that you can't set up a mortgage with the previous homeowner.
The Box Isn't The Expensive Part
Certain people can't take no for an answer, even when they are told twice, in writing.
This person wanted to buy a brand new Nintendo Switch from someone online and really asked if they could get a discount if they agreed to purchase without the box.
Someone Save The Neighbor From This Woman
There is likely a good reason that this woman is a single mom because it seems like she's willing to manipulate every man she comes into contact with, including the kind next-door neighbor.
Some parents will do anything for child support money.
No Thanks Necessary, Seriously
A freelancer practicing web development decided to offer a service where they make a website for free to gain experience.
Some random person got mad that the freelancer didn't pay for a domain name, which was never part of the plan.
When Your Scam Stops Working Properly
This insane email came from someone who illegally purchased access to a Disney+ account on AliExpress.
The person who sent the email was likely also the victim of a scam, but either way, it's a no, Sean.
Gone, But Not Quite Forgotten
Giving away something from your home helps declutter the space and you can usually say "out of sight, out of mind" once it's gone.
This woman did not have that opportunity because after giving away her free vacuum cleaner, the person who received it sent a message complaining about dirt and dust in the canister.
12 Might Be A Hard Year For Her
Who is going to break it to this parent that the things they want for their daughter are both hella expensive and not casual donations you can get from a friend?
It seems like there might be some tears this year.
Anyone Interested In Paying To Go To Work?
This conversation goes off the rails fairly quickly when the client ends up proposing that the small business owner actually pays them.
Plus, they want the original product for free. Yeah, right.
There Is Not A Good Enough Selection In The Free Library
A woman installed a "FreeLittleLibrary" in her front yard for people passing by and neighbors to use.
So naturally, she was surprised to find this choosy beggar's note that requested she throw out some old books and introduce some new ones.
"What's The Best Way To Steal From You?"
Imagine having the gall to contact an author and ask them how you can pirate their book, as this person did.
What is wrong with just paying creative people for the contributions they make?
Why Do They Keep Going Back?
When a local church is shelling out time, money, and volunteers to put on a free turkey dinner for the holidays, it's not in good faith to leave a one-star review online.
Still, these greedy people felt slighted by their free meal and wanted to complain.
Play Stupid Games, You Win Stupid Prizes
It's hard to say whether this troll genuinely believed that they could purchase a $1,000 computer for $25 but they still tried.
The seller told them exactly where they could go to find what they need—Toys'R'Us.
Broke People Are Scamming
Being an artist is often not as rewarding for people as they hope and their hard work goes underappreciated.
This artist sent a painting to a customer and four months later the customer requested a "Charge Back" through PayPal to get a refund, then they denied it and blocked the artist.
Not All Business Is Good Business
If you have never worked on any kind of woodworking project you might be shocked to find that it's not a cheap hobby.
This beggar should have known better if they really do have a "cabinet shop," but it seems like they're not worth the hassle.
This Person Can't Be Serious, Yet They Said They Were
A confusing exchange between these two reveals that the potential buyer actually asked the seller to unsell the car and then resell it back to them for a lower price.
It must be so nice to live at the center of the universe in your own head.
Hopefully, She Serves This Pasta With A Side Of Divorce
Presumably, this man's wife realized her husband was on his way home from work and whipped him up the best meal she could with what was in the kitchen.
Instead of saying thanks, or saying nothing, this jerk decided to shame her meal on social media. It's almost like he could have made his own dinner.
Does Anyone Want To Pay To Work At This Wedding? Only $100 Entry Fee
Wedding clients are often on another level of entitlement, but this is fairly demanding.
Thankfully, this photographer "doesn't need to pay to work," and who does, really? They shut down the bride's outrageous request ASAP.
A Bridezilla In The Making
First of all, why is there a Ring Shaming group on Facebook? Whatever goes on in there can't be good.
This woman's post is further proof because she managed to find her future engagement ring and decided to bash it online.
Might As Well Just Leave Them With An iPad
Childcare is one of the hardest jobs out there and somehow it remains one of the lowest-paid positions.
When you get what you pay for, and it comes to your children, don't you want to make sure you have the best? The person who pointed out the absurd rate was swiftly blocked.
He Had Time Today
After helping him out once or twice, this Redditor (with the sign) found out that the man with the gas can was actually a fraud with a nice Jeep and a nice house.
He just patrols the streets begging people to help run his scam.
