Let’s Get It On: Introverts Share Their Most Surprising Turn Ons

Some people are happy to be alone while others like to spend time surrounded by people. It doesn't come easy to all of us and there's nothing wrong with that at all. Thanks to society, there are times when we need to connect with people, even if you're the most introverted person ever.

That's why introverts came together on Twitter, sharing their #IntorvertTurnOns. You'll be surprised that you'll find things, like canceling events or staying inside on a rainy day, that are completely normal, and a total turn on.

Now, this is a real turn on because it's often a good indicator of true friendship. Also, it's an ambivert turn on, and I love it.

Ambiverts are able to be equally talkative or enjoy silence whenever they want. If you can do it without awkwardness or any issues, this shouldn't be a problem.

Okay, I identify myself as an introvert, but phone calls have never bothered me. I never understood that until one day, my cousin, who's more introverted than me, asked how I was able to talk to strangers on the phone.

I realized that for my cousin, even a phone call to a stranger was stressful and filled with anxiety.

Texting and emailing, where no one can interrupt you and you can get all of your thoughts out clearly, is the only way to go.

Whenever I order a pizza and the delivery guy buzzes into my apartment and I don't answer, I just say my phone was charging.

It starts with a text like this — "Ahhhh bruh, that's so sad. We can reschedule for another day, yeah?"

The second you get that response, you jump around harder than House of Pain could have ever done. Not going to lie, but this is the perfect situation, and it makes it better when you managed to convince them to cancel. Just ahead, having plans canceled means having your own castle to lord over.

When two introverts figure it out and start to talk is difficult to explain to others. But, it's a real delight when this happens.

It's like having telekinesis with someone who's on the same level as you. I feel happy for those who fell in love and got married to an introverted person.

I live in an apartment building and this sums up my Friday nights. Also, I find it refreshing to go into the elevator and talk to other people who are taking their dogs for a walk.

We spark a conversation about dogs and that's about it. The combination of knowing a select few in your building is an underrated aspect of life. What's better than a cashier talking to you? The answer to that is just around the corner.

I wouldn't have to wave if I just lower my head so I can't be recognized in the streets. It's like someone asks you how you are, but you keep walking anyways.

I mean, a simple head nod can go a long way too. It means your listening but you don't want to say "I'm good."

Awww yeah, this is what being blessed is all about. If someone sits next to me, and the other seats are vacant I'm like "You HAD to sit next to me, didn't you?"

I'm flattered you think I smell nice or look like a celebrity like Tony Hawk, but that doesn't mean I'm a well-rounded person.

Better Than A Cashier Ignoring You

One time, the self-checkouts were all closed, and a cashier told my friend she would have to "talk to someone."

She had to put her items away and fight the urge to flip them off as we left. Cashiers don't get paid enough, but you don't need to be that rude to people.

Nick made an excellent Tweet here. He's right because I do this all the time whenever I go back home. The second I walk into Walmart, my fear of seeing people from high school goes from 0 to 100 real quick.

So, I wear sunglasses inside the store. That way, nobody will know it's me. Still on the way, the next time it rains, the best thing an introvert can do applies to everyone.

Having your own paradise is the balm for the soul. Dogs and fellow introverts will relate to you because they enjoy this type of lifestyle.

To me, this is my idea of heaven. Just me, and some dogs and two cats. Outside of family, I wouldn't want another human from miles away coming here.

A classic right here. This applies to everybody, but it's special for introverts. Imagine avoiding the heatwave — it's the same feeling.

But, some people prefer different things. You can easily sit back, read a book, have some time, or play some video games. Coming up, why make an effort to go to the store when there's a company that requires no signatures on shipments.

It's useful to weed out those who won't text first. Double bonus goes for you not calling or leaving detailed voicemail messages instead of just leaving a name and number.

Or, how about the people who are supposed text before calling "Hey, I'm gonna call you. Make sure YOU pick up the phone!"

A really good teacher will know the difference between shy and knowing when a person is comfortable being quiet. One of my teachers said to me that I was stuck-up because I didn't seek out conversations and interactions.

I never felt superior to anyone and I turned out fine. My teacher could have been the one with the issues.

Sometimes, I catch myself thinking, what even is the point of going to the store anymore?

If I'm going to have to talk to people to get anything, I could wave and awkwardly blurt "Hi." Girls might think that's cute, but they'll probably just think I'm a weirdo. The most common thing to occur to an introvert is just ahead. People who understand where they're coming from will feel appreciated.

But, whenever people aren't going to show, that's perfect too. I'm an introvert who likes to have people over, but only for like the Super Bowl because making an effort to be social wears me out.

Something that's weird is that even if I go out, I still need five or more days of no face-to-face contact.

The optional pet obsession is a must because you can't turn away love from an animal. Sometimes, if I really need to get some human contact, I'll go for a walk with a friend.
