You Can Finally Play ‘Mario Kart’ On Your Phone

Fans of Nintendo's "Mario Kart" can finally play it easily on their smartphones - for free! The gaming company's highly anticipated mobile version, "Mario Kart Tour", of the racing game has finally been released September 25th, 2019.

The was first announced that "Mario Kart Tour" would be coming to mobile phones back in 2018. The game can be played on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and also Android devices. The game is free to play but there are in-app purchases available to be used for upgrades and unlocking certain features.

Players will be able to view each other's results worldwide through an online rankings system. Nintendo will also cycle its "global tour" section of the game every two weeks. These courses will feature aspects of real-life cities and also classic levels from previous games.

The game launch was so popular it seemed to be the cause of an error message for some users. At launch, many people experienced issues trying to access the game with a notification that said "The servers are experiencing heavy traffic. Your log-in request will be processed in the order it was received," according to CNN.
