Behind the scenes, fan-favorite actors such as Val Kilmer and Gwyneth Paltrow are nothing but miserable people to work alongside.
Edward Norton Needed Control
When it comes to creative liberty, Edward Norton wants to take matters into his own hands, a nightmare for co-stars, especially the director he's working alongside. In 1998, Norton recut American History X without director Tony Kaye's permission.
Then, when it came time for The Avengers, Norton was replaced as the Hulk due to his excessive need for creative control.
Shannen Doherty Was All Drama
Rumor has it actress Shannen Doherty was a nightmare to work with on both the Beverly Hills 90210 set as well as Charmed. The former show saw Doherty almost get into a fistfight with co-star Jennie Garth resulting in Tor Spelling asking the producer to fire the hot-headed actress.
Her drama didn't take a backseat when she began working on Charmed. Doherty's antics actually lead to her leaving after the third season.
Val Kilmer Was Childish And Irresponsible
Two directors Val Kilmer has worked with through the years have gone on record saying they'd never work with the actor again due to his childish behavior and irresponsible attitude.
The first was Batman Forever director Joel Schumacher. The second was The Island of Dr. Moreau director John Frankenheimer, who said, "I will never climb Mount Everest, and I will never work with Val Kilmer again."
Chevy Chase Was An Overall Nightmare
During his heyday, Chevy Chase was pretty much a nightmare to anyone who was unlucky enough to be his co-star. Once, he got into a fistfight with Bill Murray! At least Chase grew up and took responsibility for thinking he could do whatever he wanted.

Bruce Willis "Is A Major Pain To Work With"
Action film star Bruce Willis has rubbed a few people the wrong way behind the scenes of his movies. While director Antoine Fuqua called him a major pain to work with, his Expendables co-star Sylvester Stallone was more than happy when Willis was recast in the third installment.
On Twitter, Stallone made a slay comment geared towards Willis, saying, "greedy and lazy ... a sure formula for career failure."
Steven Seagal Had A Short Fuse
As it turns out, Steven Seagal doesn't fight solely on the screen but also with his co-stars behind the scenes. While filming Executive Decision, Seagal said something that co-star John Leguizamo thought was a joke. It wasn't.
Seagal took Leguizamo's laughing as an insult, pinning him up against a wall. Talk about having a short fuse.
Michael Pitt Didn't Seem To Respect Production
According to a crew member of Boardwalk Empire, Michael Pitt was a diva and horrible to work with. Apparently, the actor would frequently show up to the set late. And if that weren't bad enough, he wouldn't have his lines memorized, ask for changes in the script, and argue about the direction of his character.
Pitt's on-set attitude eventually led his talent agency, United Talent Agency (UTA), to release him as a client!
Kiefer Sutherland Was Unprofessional
Freddie Prinze Jr. had a thing or two to say about working with 24 co-star Kiefer Sutherland. First, the actor was horrible to work with, as he was very unprofessional, and it was impossible to get anything done.
According to Prinze Jr., saying that wasn't him "talking trash, I'd say it to his face, I think everyone that's worked with him has said that."
Gwyneth Paltrow Refused To Be Near Scarlett Johansson
While shooting Iron Man 2, Gwyneth Paltrow allegedly refused to be anywhere near her co-star Scarlett Johansson, a difficult feat considering they were in the same scenes together.
Paltrow then became angry when Johannson received more press and promotional events for the film, overshadowing her. Paltrow's representatives denied these diva claims as nothing more than rumors, but who knows.

On the set of Life As We Know It, actress Katherine Heigl supposedly caused nothing but issues. Everything from the script to her wardrobe we questioned day in and day out, according to an unnamed source who worked with her on the production.
There were some days when she wouldn't even come out of her trailer!
Wesley Snipes Would Only Communicate Via Post-It Note
With a questionable reputation throughout Hollywood, it might not come as a surprise to learn Wesley Snipes didn't treat his Blade co-stars or the director with respect. After attempting to physically harm David Goyer, the director tried to boot Snipes from the project.
This resulted in Snipes not talking things out like an adult but only communicating with the director via post-it notes, signed "From Blade."
William Shatner Didn't Want To Share The Spotlight
Rumor has it, Star Trek legend William Shatner has no shortage of enemy co-stars, enemies he evidently made due to his diva-like attitude behind the scenes. One such co-star is Leonard Nimoy, famous for playing Spock.
Apparently, Shatner began a few feuds with the other actor, namely when it came to fan mail. Shatner didn't like when fans were overly appreciative of Nimoy; he wanted all of the attention and spotlight on him.

According to her co-star Nicollette Sheridan, Teri Hatcher was a complete diva on the set of Desperate Housewives. The actress even went as far as calling Hatcher "the meanest woman in the world."
With a statement like that, it is safe to say Hatcher was an absolute nightmare to work alongside.
