Married At First Sight: Where Are The Couples Now?
Contestants jump into the deep end when they participate in Married at First Sight. Agreeing to legally marry a complete stranger, these couples take the plunge and decide if they want to remain together after just a few weeks of marriage.
Now, it's time to see which couples decided to keep their marriage going after the show and who called it quits and got a divorce.
Cortney Hendrix & Jason Carrion: Divorced
When Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion first said "I do" on Married at First Sight, they seemed like the perfect couple, an aspiring firefighter and a makeup artist. To fans' utter dismay, the two wound up divorcing in what is considered one of the most shocking splits in the franchise's history.
They have both since found love somewhere else. Courtney remarried a man named Sherm in 2020, and Jason married Celebrity Big Brother UK star Roxanne.
Monet Bell & Vaughn Copeland: Divorced
When it came to the Decision Day for Monet Bell and Vaughn Copeland, they decided to walk away, stating that they weren't the right match for one another. Ironically, they seemed very compatible during their time on Married at First Sight.
Now, they're living totally separate lives. Monet went on another reality show to find love but left without a boyfriend and is now living in New York. Vaughn up and moved to Germany and is currently living with his girlfriend. They just had their first child together.
Danielle Bergman & Bobby Dodd: Married
When Danielle Bergman said, "I'm just completely head over heels in love with you. This is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me," during Decision Day, fans were banking on her and Bobby Dodd going the distance. As it turns out, they did!
The Married at First sight season seven couple has been happily married since their time on the reality show. And, in 2019, they welcomed a daughter to their tiny family, Olivia Nicole, and, in 2020, a son, Robert.
Davina Kullar & Sean Varricchio: Divorced
Things ended pretty badly between Davina Kullar and Sean Varricchio during the second season of Married at First Sight. Starting with Seann calling Davina "egocentric" and ending in their divorce, it's probably a good thing the two called it quits.
While Sean is pretty private about his post-reality show life, Davina is very active on social media. She has since found love and married a man named Donald Davis. The two recently welcomed their first child.
Jaclyn Methuen & Ryan Ranellone: Divorced
After rumors circulated that Jaclyn Methuen said her match, Ryan Ranellone, wasn't attractive enough for her, people speculated how the relationship between the two was going to end. Surprisingly, they decided to give their love a go when Decision Day rolled around.
They broke up by the reunion episode. According to Jaclyn, Ryan wasn't putting enough effort into their long-distance relationship, as she was living in New Jersey at the time and he was in Long Island, New York.
Kristine Killingsworth & Keith Dewar: Married
After saying "I do" and working their hardest to find common ground, Kristine Killingsworth and Keith Dewar decided their love was worth it. Their decision to stay together after Decision Day has paid off, too!
In 2019, one year after their season eight wedding, Kristine and Keith made a huge decision as a couple -- they bought a house! Aside from that mega-move, the couple is all about each other, posting pictures of date nights and lazy nights on the couch on social media.
Anthony D'Amico & Ashley Petta: Married
Anthony D'Amico and Ashley Petta said "I do" during the fifth season of Married at First Sight. And, unlike a lot of couples that go through the reality show, the couple wound up staying together after Decision Day.
Fast-forward to 2021, and the two are still happily married and going very strong. On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, Anthony and Ashley welcomed their second child into the family, a daughter named Vaeda Marie D'Amico.
Molly Duff & Jonathan Francetic: Divorced
At first, Molly Duff and Jonathan Francetic seemed like a good match on paper. Then they started to get to know each other and realized that their marriage wouldn't work out. According to Jonathan, Molly just wasn't an affectionate person.
Who was emotionally available for him? The Married at First Sight expert, Dr. Jessica Griffi. Talk about drama! Dr. Griffi actually had a hand to play in Jonathan's match-up with Molly.
Derek Sherman & Katie Conrad: Divorced
Katie Conrad had doubts before she even took her first step down the aisle. It wasn't a good start. Even so, she and Derek Sherman wound up saying "I do" and decided to stay together. A few weeks post-Decision Day, they separated and, ultimately, divorced.
Now, Derek is living his best life and going on adventures, all of which he documents on his social media accounts. Katie, on the other hand, is engaged again! This time, to an Air Force man, Brandon.
Jaclyn Schwartzberg & Ryan Buckley: Divorced
While Jaclyn Schwartzberg and Ryan Buckley stayed together for ten months after their season six match on Married at First Sight, it didn't last. The two ultimately went their separate ways and got a divorce.
But, for Jaclyn, it seems to have been the best decision of her life. In 2019, she announced her engagement to Dane. And after their 2020 wedding, she said that even though it took her over 30 years to find the perfect man, it was well worth the wait.
Stephanie Sersen & AJ Vollmoeller: Married
After working through some anger issues, Stephanie Sersen and AJ Vollmoeller decided to stay together after their season eight Decision Day on Married at First Sight. Fast-forward to 2021, and the couple is still going strong.
They currently relocated to Key West, Florida, and are participating in a MAFS spin-off series, Married at First Sight: Couples Cam. All in all, Stephanie and AJ are living it up and traveling every second they're able to.
Jephte Pierre & Shawniece Jackson: Married
The relationship between Jephte Pierre and Shawniece Jackson might have gotten off to a rocky start, but they wound up being the only season six couple to stick together through each bump and hurdle.
Now, years after their Married at First Sight wedding, Jephte and Shawniece are still going strong, even though they have had their fair share of rough patches. In 2018, they welcomed their first child into the world, a beautiful daughter.
Dave Flaherty & Amber Martorana: Divorced
Even though Dave Flaherty and Amber Martorana decided to stick together after Decision Day, Amber's insecurities took a toll on Dave. Eventually, they decided it was best to go their separate ways.
While neither of the former Married at First Sight participants has found love, Amber's social media has pictures of her with some mystery man. As for Dave, he seems to have been keeping busy with work and his family. They both wish nothing but the best for the other, so that's nice.
Jessica Studer & Austin Hurd: Married
Quirky and nerdy, Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd quickly became a fan-favorite when they were matched during season 10 of Married at First Sight. To no one's surprise, the couple opted to give their love a go, deciding to stay together when Decision Day came around.
At the reunion special, Jessica and Austin seemed happier than ever. Currently, Austin is working as a network engineer while Jessica is a nurse. In 2020, she worked with COVID-19 patients.
Deonna McNeill & Gregory Okotie: Married
With Deonna's outgoing personality and Gregory's more reserved nature, it took a little while for the two to warm up to one another after they said "I do" during season nine of Married at First Sight. But, they ultimately made their relationship work.
Now, only a few years after their on-screen wedding, Deonna McNeill and Gregory Okotie welcomed their first child to the family, a son. The two are more than dog parents now!
Kate Sisk & Luke Cuccurullo: Divorced
When a husband wants to keep his marriage a secret, things are most likely going to go sideways very fast. That's exactly what happened to Kate Sisk and Luke Cuccurullo during the eighth season of Married at First Sight. Needless to say, they didn't work out.
After their divorce, Kate threw herself into her sleepwear business, Hidden Intimates, and began traveling the world. As for Luke, he's been participating in marathons and other sporting events and has started a podcast series called Cuccurullo Conversations.
Bennett Kirschner & Amelia Fatsi: Married
Free-spirited, open-minded, and quirky beyond belief, it would have been a shock to fans if Bennett Kirschner and Amelia Fatsi wound up not staying together after season 11 Decision Day. The good news is that they are still very much together.
The couple recently moved from New Orleans to Virginia, with Amelia taking up her residency in the state and Bennett accepting a new job in the solar industry. They are very much in love.
Elizabeth Bice & Jamie Thompson: Married
Toxic, romantic, and chaotic, fans didn't actually think Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson were going to go the distance after their season nine wedding. Surprisingly, Decision Day came, and the couple opted to stay together.
Now, in 2021, they're still happily married. Elizabeth moved to California to be with her husband, who had started a new job in Silicon Valley while she worked on her YouTube channel, giving makeup tips and interviewing other MAFS participants.
Matthew Gwynne & Amber Bowles: Divorced
Despite their initial chemistry, Matthew Gwynne and Amber Bowles eventually divorced. While Amber was fully committed to their relationship, it seems as though Matthew had wandering eyes. According to his ex-wife, Matthew would stay out to all hours of the night with other women. Yikes.
Since their divorce, Amber is thriving, hanging out with friends, and even took a plunge and bought a house. Matthew recently got a new job as a corporate actions analyst.
Jamie Otis & Doug Hehner: Married
Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner were on the first season of Married at First Sight. And, as it turned out, they are still happily married since their very public 2014 wedding. That being said, it wasn't easy. Jamie originally thought she made a mistake, marrying a total stranger.
But it seems to have worked out in the end, as the couple is still together and has just welcomed their second child together.
