Get Ready To Be Entertained: Top Movies Arriving In 2022
It's time to stock up on popcorn because some highly-anticipated movies are arriving in 2022. From the animated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) to the seemingly dark The Batman, there is a little something for everyone.

The Batman
In 2022, it looks like Batman fans will get a bit of a darker and grittier tale revolving around the caped crusader and The Riddler. Robert Pattinson stars in The Batman alongside a stellar cast, including Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffery Wright, Andy Serkis, and more!
The film was released March 4, 2022.
Uncharted
Tom Holland stars alongside Mark Wahlberg in Uncharted. The film is an adaptation of a popular video game of the same name, following the story of Nathan Drake as he joins forces with Victor Sullivan to find lost treasure.
Fans of the video games have been waiting anxiously for the film adaptation, which was released on February 11, 2022.
The Lost City
When Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum star in a rom-com, what could go wrong? The Lost City starts as nothing more than a book tour, with Bullock's author character taking along her cover model, Tatum.
Of course, they get swept up in a kidnapping jungle adventure! It is sure to be a fun movie that will leave viewers laughing. The film is set to release on March 25, 2022.
Morbius
The anti-hero superhero fans have been waiting for is finally here! Jared Leto stars as the title character in Morbius. In the film, Dr. Morbius tries his hardest to find a cure for a rare blood disease, turning himself into a vampire in the process.

Legally Blonde 3
Oh my god, you guys, another Legally Blonde film is in the works! While not much is known about the third installment of Elle Woods's life, here are some little tidbits: Reese Witherspoon will be coming back as the Elle and will be joined by Jennifer Coolidge's Paulette.
If everything goes according to plan, Legally Blonde 3 will release on May 20, 2022.
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness
The highly-anticipated sequel to Doctor Strange will release on May 6, 2022. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness will follow the title character as he opens a forbidden door to the multiverse and unleashes all types of chaos.
This film will bring in elements of the Disney+ series WandaVision and What If... So, make sure to watch the mini-series before the film comes out!
Lightyear
Chris Evans is taking one small step for man and one giant leap into the shoes of Buzz Lightyear in the animated film Lightyear. Based on the real-life astronaut who inspired the beloved Toy Story character, the movie is an origin story of sorts and is sure to be a family favorite.
The film is set to release on June 17, 2022.
Thor: Love And Thunder
There are many things to look forward to in Thor: Love And Thunder. First off, Natalie Portman is returning to the MCU as Jane Foster, aka Thor's love interest. Secondly, Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie will make an appearance, as will a new villain, Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher.
A direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok, Love and Thunder is set to release on July 8, 2022.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore
The third installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise is coming on April 15, 2022, in the form of The Secrets of Dumbledore.
Knowing Grindelwald's legions are growing, Dumbledore, with the help of Newt Scamander, leads an army of witches and wizards to take him out before the evil wizard takes control of the wizarding world.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One)
After the huge success Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse saw, fans will be happy to know a sequel will be released on October 7, 2022.
Sony has kept the majority of the plot under wraps, but it is known that Miles Morales will once again team up with Gwen Stacy and other spider-people to take on a new villain.
Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom
While not much is known about Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom (literally nothing), lead actor Jason Momoa has gone on record saying it is full of comedy.
During an interview with Fandango, the actor said, "This time around, I feel like we're pulling out all of the stops, buddy. Even on the page, it's absolutely wonderful. There is so much going on. I think the stakes are a lot higher. There's a lot of comedy. So, I mean, I giggled reading [the script]."
Avatar 2
After almost two decades, fans of James Cameron's historical film Avatar need to get ready. Avatar 2 will bring viewers back to Pandora with the beloved character of Sully and Neytiri. Now, they have a family!
But an ancient threat comes back, and they are forced the flee. Fans are going to have to see the film on December 16, 2022, to see what happens on Pandora.
Marry Me
Marry Me is a rom-com that fans of the genre will not want to miss. JLo stars as Kat Valdez, a pop star who is supposed to marry her boyfriend onstage. Sadly, she finds out he cheated, breaks down, and winds up marrying a fan in the crowd (played by Owen Wilson).
Seeing if two people from different worlds can make it work is sure to be full of laughter and tears.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog was one of the highest-grossing films of 2020, so it is safe to say fans are gearing up for the sequel. In Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the title character wants nothing more than to prove himself.
Well, he's going to get the chance because Dr. Robotnik returns with a new partner, Knuckles, and is searching for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations! The film will release on April 8, 2022.
Hocus Pocus 2
All '90s babies can rejoice; Hocus Pocus 2 will be released in 2022. Everyone's favorite witches are back, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Bette Midler reprising their roles from the first movie.
Set Twenty-nine years after the events of the first film, the Sanderson sisters are back in present-day Salem, and only a couple of high school students can stop them!
Ambulance
Directed by Michael Bay, Ambulance follows the story of two brothers as they rob a bank to pay off medical bills. The thing is, their getaway plan gets foiled and they find themselves in an ambulance with an EMT and an injured cop.

The Northman
