These Animals Giving Up On Life And Calling It A Day Are A Total Mood
There are some days when nothing seems to be going right, and you just want to give up on life and call it a day. Those days are usually paired with an "I'm not amused" facial expression, perhaps a facepalm or two, and glazed over eyes because you're just not having it with people.
Well, humans aren't the only ones who have those types of days. These animals have all given up on life and have called it a day.
When Sticking Your Head In The Sand Is The Only Option
You're lying if you say you've never had a day where you just wanted to forget about everything and stick your head in the sand. Yeah, you never thought you'd be jealous of a baby elephant, did you? This not-so-little guy is doing what you want to do but can't because "adulting."
That doesn't mean we can't live vicariously through this young animal's very early mid-life crisis. You do you, sir elephant, trust us when we say no one is judging you.
The Eyes That Say "I've Never Had A Tootsie Roll Pop"
Nothing says "I'm very much over everything and everyone in my life," quite like this owls face. It literally looks like he asked a student what two plus two equaled and they answered with "about the same number of licks that it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop."
Like the owl hasn't heard that one before! Stay strong oh wise one, that slogan will be forgotten in time.
This Polar Bear Doesn't Do Table Manners
On the other hand, this polar bear is a total mood. Why can't we all be privileged enough to lie down while we eat? It seems like something we should all be allowed to do, especially when you've had a day and don't feel like sitting.
Good table manners? Throw them out the window! We want to learn proper etiquette from our gigantic white polar bear friend. He's the one living his best life, even while calling it a day!
When The Fox Says Why Did You Wake Me up
Let's just say we don't envy whichever animal decided it was a good idea to wake this fox up from its catnap. They're about to get slapped, hard. This little guy looks like he called it a day before the day even started. We feel you, little orange dude, we all have those days.
But since you're now up, how about you make your way to the river and give yourself a nice bath? You look like someone's deranged Uncle Sal, who hasn't seen a shower since 1975.
When You Sleep Through Your Alarm
You know you're having a day when you wake up looking like a teenager who slept through their alarm and isn't too thrilled that they have math class at eight in the morning. This little lemur looks as though he made it to class (right on!) but is struggling to stay awake.
He's trying so hard not to give up on his day. His left-side is totally aware while his right-side is at the eh-maybe-not stage. We're rooting for you little one, stay strong!
This Grizzly Bear Is Done For The Day
Unfortunately for this grizzly, his forehead and fisted paw lying on the rock speak wonders. He looks like he just walked out of a bad meeting and didn't end up selling his product to the prospective clients — time to call it a day, Mr. Bear.
Personally, we think he should take the rest of the day off and find a nice cave to nap in. There's no need to work when you're feeling this defeated.
The Bed Was Too Far For This Bulldog
This bulldog has definitely given up and called it a day. The little guy was probably on his way to his comfortable bed when he thought, "Nah, the wooden porch is fine, I guess." No, pooch, get to your bed, you're so close!
At least his eyes are open, which makes us believe that he's thinking about getting up. Probably not, though. This bulldog is down for the count and seems to have given up on life, for the time being.
That's A Nope From The Owl
Well, this owl has definitely given up on life and called it a day. Wouldn't you if you looked like a bowling ball has been dropped on your head? It's amazing to us that this owl's beak is still intact.
Then again, he could be deteriorating from the inside out because people keep asking him about that stupid lollipop. Stay strong little guy, the '90s are over. People are going to forget about the Tootsie Roll Pop and leave you in peace.
The Moment Life Is Too Much So You Become E.T.
You know you're calling it a day when you wrap yourself in a blanket and end up looking like E.T. We just wish this pug wouldn't embrace his inner E.T. so much because, by the look in his eyes, he's definitely thinking about what other life there is in the universe.
Well, this E.T.-dog is a pug, so he'll only be happy if there are treats and pets on other planets. If not, he'll most likely curl back into this exact blanket.
Life Is Hard When You Have Choices
This husky is just not having it today. We mean, why would he go to the blanket or comfortable chair behind him when there is a perfectly good step to rest his head off of? It's a perfectly reasonable alternative.
He probably got overwhelmed with the choices. Who wouldn't be? So the solution is to give up and go for the least comfortable option. Here's to hoping he doesn't wake up because all of the blood rushed to his furry noggin!
The Look You Get When What You've Seen Can't Be Unseen
We kind of feel bad for this cat because he's obviously seen some stuff and now he's just given up on life completely. For one, what cat sits upright with that type of facial expression? Clearly something happened and he's not ready to talk about it just yet.
His existential crisis has this cat calling it a day. Someone, please, pick him up and bring him home. He shouldn't be sitting in the middle of a field by himself like a weirdo.
He's Had A Bear-y Long Day
There is nothing quite like almost making it home but just collapsing spread-eagle on a log in the shade instead. This bear obviously has given up for the day and needs to rethink things.
Maybe he didn't have the best of luck catching lunch down by the stream. Honestly, that would be a reason to call it a day. The big guy is probably just hungry and doesn't have the energy to make it all the way home. At least, that's what we're hoping.
Ho Ho Hold On Kitty, You'll Survive The Holidays
It seems as though this cat couldn't bear the upcoming holiday season and decided instead to call it a day and face-plant on their human's bed. We get it little kitty; the holidays can be stressful. But that's not a reason to give up so early!
If you want Santa to bring you some catnip, we recommend putting a bit more hop in your step tomorrow. Today, take the time and forget about life for a while.
When Life Gives You Food, Sleep In It
When life gets to be too hard, what else is there to do but lie down in your bowl of food? We get it, and if a dish was big enough to fall into, trust us when we say we'd be right there with you because this sleeping position is a total mood.
Unfortunately for the cat, he's going to have to deal with a lot of belly crumbs when he wakes up. Honestly, the crumbs might be enough to put the little guy into another funk!
Don't Mess With A Bear Who Is Telling You To Stop Talking
If someone told us that bears were sassy creatures, we wouldn't believe them. Well, unless they showed us this picture of the bear shutting down whatever it is the other animal is about to say. That facial expression and raised paw both say "please, just don't speak."
He just looks as though he's called it a day and doesn't want anyone bothering his alone time. Enjoy your nap, friend, you look like you could use one.
Everything's Fine...
It looks like this orange cat took a page out of the husky's book and decided a step would be a great place to give up on life and take a nap. We would love to know what happened to this cat to make them feel as though they should call it a day.
It must have been something horrible considering the sleeping arrangements he's alright with! We know cats sleep in strange places but this is on another level of "I don't care anymore."
What Did You Just Say?
You know you've done something wrong when a monkey gives you this face and then proceeds to put some of their arm fur into their mouth so they don't say anything mean to you. Whatever was said, this guy clearly didn't find it amusing and has since given up on humanity as a whole.
Honestly, it was probably a bad dad joke. Something like "What did the monkey call his first wife?" Answer: "His prime-mate!" Yea, we agree, that was pretty bad.
This Is Good Enough
The fact that this squirrel is halfway to the perch says a lot about his state of mind right now. Granted, the perch is definitely too tiny for him to lie on, but isn't that what a nice tree is for?
This forest critter seems to have given up on life for the day and is playing his sleeping arrangements by ear. Perhaps the mood is due to the lack of acorns found that day.
When You Give Up So Hard You Become A Loaf Of Bread
Why be a corgi when you can be a loaf of bread instead? It looks as though this pooch called it a day soon after their humans brought him outside for a walk. Obviously he was going for a disguise so no one would bother him to move any more than he already did.
We would love to know why this corgi has given up on life, though. He' a corgi! Perhaps he's staying up too late watching Disney+ and needed a bit more shut-eye before going on a walk.
Ya Know, Just Hanging Around
Have you ever given up on life so hard that you end up straddling a tree you're too big for? Well, this panda has. And it doesn't look like he's going to be moving anytime soon.
The life of a panda got to be too much so he secluded himself in the nearest tree. Too bad that he looks more a starfish than panda while trying to figure out the best way to take a nap.
